Plastic free shop opens in Yeovil

Mar 7, 2019

Pasta, rice, grains and plastic free toiletries will be among the items on sale at Yeovil’s first plastic-free eco shop.
‘Take No Wrap’ in the Quedam Shopping Centre will open to shoppers for the first time on Saturday, 9 March, at 9 am.
Joint owners Liz Kleve and Linda Budzynski said: “Our shop allows people to bring their own clean containers and fill them with products. In addition, we aim to run workshops both fun and educational as well as being a collection point for terra recycling, such as toothbrushes, bottle tops and pump tops from bottles”.
Quedam General Manager, James Tovey, said: “The Quedam team are focussed on improving the sustainability and efficiency of the centre. The carpark has been transferred to LED lighting to help reduce our energy consumption”.
