In a statement the Club said:
“When Darren stepped up to be manager in December 2015, the club was on the ropes and looked doomed to suffer a third successive relegation and loss of EFL status.
“Not only was Darren able to turn things around that season, but since then he has stabilised the club and has led us to some memorable games including the historic Emirates FA Cup tie with Manchester United.
“Darren also shares the club’s ambition to return to League One before the end of the 2020/21 season, so it makes sense to offer a contract to someone who has proven loyalty, effectiveness and ambition.”

Yeovil police station modernisation

Nov 2, 2018

It’s been confirmed that four million pounds is to be spent modernising Yeovil Police Station.

The decision by Avon and Somerset Police Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens, means Yeovil’s police HQ will now remain open.

In April last year, the cells in Yeovil were shut and it was feared the whole building would be closed.

Officers making arrests in Yeovil have had to take suspects to the cells at Bridgwater police station.

It's a practice that looks set to continue after a spokesperson confirmed there are no plans to re-open the custody suite in Yeovil.

The refurbishment of the Yeovil Police HQ includes reducing the number of floor areas from six to three.

The building will also be fitted with new cladding.

If planning permission is granted, work would start next summer and the new-look building opened by late 2020.
